History
Founded in 1981, Great Lakes Computer Corporation's IT solutions focus today on computer maintenance, IT service, tech support, computer networking, MSP network management, and data security (anti-virus and spyware, and antimalware).
Originally, GLC was founded as an IBM mid-range product sales and computer equipment brokerage company. Building on its original strength in the IBM products arena, in 1988 GLC began offering IT service for AS/400 systems.
Since that time GLC has broadened its IT support services to provide computer maintenance of a much broader range of computer systems, storage devices, printers, plotters and Point-of-Sale (POS) equipment from most major manufactures including:

Today, GLC provides contract computer maintenance and computer repair services for all types of businesses throughout the United States, plus local, state and federal government agencies.
In the early '90s, GLC began to support these growing computer networks that were quickly displacing large mainframe systems. That IT support group has developed into the Managed Service Program (MSP) of today. The MSP program utilizes state-of the-art technology to solve computer network problems BEFORE they happen. The primary focus of the GLC Managed Service Program is the small & medium business marketplace, with the primary goal being to help those businesses increase their level of support while reducing the overall cost of that support.
As the years have gone by, we've seen up close that data security is now an essential element of any tech support program. Experience has taught us that having up to date anti-virus and antimalware and spyware is vital to the health of any business, not only maximizing the efficiency of your systems but also protecting you and your customers from theft, liability, and enormous financial loss. The cost of a company's print operations has dramatically increased, becoming one of the largest cost centers for many businesses. Our specialty in printer services, printer repair and point of sale equipment repair led us to create one of our newer service offerings - Managed Print Services. Great Lakes Computer now handles the entire print operation from ordering paper and toner for laser printers to keeping printer and plotter equipment humming along, reducing the cost of the overall printing process and making it worry free.
